Exceptional stay with stunning views!
My experience was fantastic! The room I stayed in offered breathtaking views of Derwentwater and the surrounding mountains, while the breakfast featured locally sourced ingredients that were delicious and hearty. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making the atmosphere warm and inviting. One area for improvement could be better signage for the parking area, which would make finding the entrance easier.

Perfect for Couples Wanting Adventure
I gotta say, the breakfast was just awesome. Full English so good I could’ve eaten it for every meal! Then there’s the staff. super helpful, and Ian had this whole itinerary planned out for us, like he knew we were gonna need it for our hikes.
Wasn’t exactly budget-friendly but honestly worth it for the experience.

Comfortable stay with stunning views
We had a wonderful one-night stay in a cozy room with breathtaking mountain views. Helpful staff recommended local hiking trails, making our visit memorable. Don't forget to try the breakfast—the fresh ingredients made it a delightful start to our day! Look for the parking entrance before the main front.

Location near the park offers great views, especially from the window seat. The room features a decent shower and a cozy atmosphere, making it a good spot to rest after exploring the area.
There’s no lift, so hauling luggage up multiple flights can be a hassle. I noticed the decor feels a bit dated, which might not suit everyone's taste. Breakfast options are limited to what’s served, with no chance to help yourself, and the portion sizes felt a bit controlled—a few more grams of bacon wouldn’t hurt. The WiFi connectivity was dicey on the upper levels. it works well in common areas but not so much behind those thick walls. Noise from the other guests in the early hours also disrupted my sleep, a detail they should probably address. Lastly, having contrast in the flavor of food could use a little work, solid options but lacking fireworks.
